Support Experiential Learning Opportunities for CBA Students

The College of Business Administration recently established the CBA Student Experience Fund to support and encourage students to attend conferences and participate in competitions by subsidizing entry fees and travel costs.

“The CBA Student Experience Fund is one of my top priorities,” said Dayle Smith, dean of the College of Business Administration. “The goal is for every business student to have an out-of-classroom experience such as attending a conference or symposium or participating in a competition.”

This past academic year saw a remarkable number of students participating in conferences and business plan competitions, including TechCrunch, KPMG Innovation and Collaboration Challenge, TCU Values and Ventures Competition and the USF Business Analytics Hackathon. These experiences are highly impactful to a college student and add tremendous value to their education by developing teamwork and presentation skills, offering real-world opportunities and enhancing their professional network.
